About Focused on Light
Stephen Desroches
Online since 2001, this has been nothing more then a casual photoblog by Stephen Desroches and a place for experimental work. I live on a small island in Atlantic Canada where I work full time with the design team of silverorange. I also sometimes get a small bit of credit for the Firefox brand and more recently, the TinEye Robot. Usability and artist by day with a creative diversion of photography. This site is all for fun.

A Daily Photo?
My intent is to publish one new photo every day but it does not need to be current. I've been trying this for many years with great difficulty but decided in 2010, if I miss one day, I must upload two the following day. To enforce this, each photo is labeled as I move towards the goal of 365. A weblog only works if consistent.
Why Focused on Light?
Without focus, the world would be a blur and without light, there would be nothing to focus on. Vistek defines focus as the position in which rays of light from a lens converge to form a sharp image. More importantly, it was one of a very few available domains after months of looking.

I also highly recommend Craft & Vision because they continue to be my favorite series of eBooks. Forget about gear and be inspired.
